IATSE Organizes Low-Budget Webisode “Fact Checkers Unit”

IA President Short Appoints Safety Chairman

LOS ANGELES – For the second time in two weeks, low-budget production crews have requested representation by the IATSE.  In the most recent instance, the crew of the webisode “Fact Checkers Unit,” currently shooting here, in a majority decision voted to sign the contract.  An afternoon of negotiations resulted in health and pension benefits and industry standard working conditions.   Starring Nine Inch Nails rocker David Navarro, the webisode is being produced by SXM for NBC and its website.  Production has a 12-day shooting schedule. “Fact Checkers Unit” is the latest example of the IATSE’s active organizing of webisodes, mobisodes, and other new media content.
