IATSE President Loeb Lauds ICE Domain Seizure

Jewish Labor Committee Honors Loeb

New York – IATSE International President Matthew D. Loeb issued a statement today lauding the seizure of 82 domain names by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  These commercial websites were engaged in the illegal sale and distribution of copyrighted and counterfeit goods, including movies, music and software.  The seizure is part of Operation In Our Sights v. 2.0, an ongoing investigation by ICE.

Said President Loeb, “We applaud the work of ICE in this important component of our war on the theft of copyrighted projects.  We’re encouraged that the search for illegal downloading sites is continuing with such force.”

As part of Operation In Our Sites I, authorities executed seizure warrants against nine domain names of websites offering pirated copies of first-run movies.
