IATSE Successfully Organizes Copacabana

IATSE Announces Agreement with NETworks

The Copacabana Company, LLC. voluntarily recognized the IATSE as the bargaining representative for its employees, it was announced by Thomas C. Short, president of the International. The Company currently produces Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana,” which will be traveling to such cities as Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas.

The IATSE secured the right to represent 15 employees in the stage, wardrobe, make- up and hair craft, traveling under the “light” Pink Contract for the show.

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees or IATSE (full name: International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories and Canada), is a labor union representing over 170,000 technicians, artisans and craftspersons in the entertainment industry, including live events, motion picture and television production, broadcast, and trade shows in the United States and Canada.
