IATSE Canada logo

Montreal – Effective immediately, IATSE Local 262 will now be the collective bargaining unit for eight projectionists and 47 front-of-house staff at the AMC Forum 22 multiplex here. The luxe AMC site boasts 22 screens, love seats, 48 inches of leg-room between rows and the latest digital sound. It is the anchor tenant in what was once the Montreal Forum, home ice of the Montreal Canadiens.

The complex also houses several restaurants and coffee shops, a bar, a pool room, and a gift shop. The application to certify was filed in late August and AMC management determined they would not oppose the move. The bargaining unit was certified by the Quebec Labour Board on Sept. 5. This will be the first union agreement for these employees.
