IATSE Prevails in NLRB Representation Election Against the IBEW

On January 30, 2002 AFL-CIO President J. Sweeney advised the IATSE that impartial Umpire Howard Lesnick had cleared the IATSE of charges filed against it by the IBEW under Article XX, Section 2 and 20 of the AFL-CIO Constitution, IATSE International President Short announced.

IATSE Local 52 Volunteer Their Expertise To Rescue Efforts in New York

IATSE Studio Mechanics Local 52 is coordinating efforts of their membership on a voluntary basis to offer any and all assistance to the New York City Police and Fire Departments in their rescue efforts after Tuesday's bombing of the World Trade Center, according to Thomas Short, President of the IATSE.
