How To Organize

The IATSE believes that the best organizers are the members of the crew themselves. At every step of the organizing process, we need the active participation of the group. This is essential not only to winning an election, but more importantly, to getting the best contract that fits your needs.

The first step is to talk to your colleagues. Do you share common concerns about your jobs? Is your employer unwilling to discuss or rectify your concerns? If so, you will want to gauge the interest of your colleagues in exploring organizing as a way to addressing your problems. If there is interest, we will send a representative to meet with as many of you that are willing to talk with us.
