IATSE and Locals 478, 600, and 700 organize “Wicked Blood”

IA President Short Appoints Safety Chairman

After being contacted by the crew of “Wicked Blood”, a 1.8 million dollar independent feature shooting in Louisiana, the IA and Locals 478, 600, and 700 traveled to Baton Rouge last week. When the production became aware that IA and Local Representatives were holding off-site crew meetings, they agreed to meet with the IA to discuss a contract.

After a weekend-long negotiation, the 35 member IA-covered crew of “Wicked Blood” now has retroactive benefits, housing allowance, and will be working under the terms and conditions of a union contract.

“Wicked Blood” is a crime thriller starring Abigail Breslin (“Little Miss Sunshine”) and Sean Bean (“Lord of the Rings”).

Call in your jobs: whether you’re shooting in a city or a swamp, the IA can help you get your benefits and the workplace protections of an IA Agreement!
