Celebrating Safe + Sound Week

Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event to raise awareness and understanding of the value of safety and health programs that include management leadership, worker participation, and a systematic approach to finding and fixing hazards in workplaces. Over the course of the week, IATSE local unions and representatives were encouraged to highlight education opportunities and to talk about safety with members.

Some of the upcoming education opportunities offered through the IATSE Training Trust Fund include:

• TTF Safety First! Online Course
• Motion Pictures Workers Online Safety
• Develop a Local OSHA Trainer
• Osha 10/General Entertainment Safety
• Certification Reimbursements

Additionally, IATSE has partnered with OSHA to deliver an entertainment industry-specific fact sheet and resource guide. Want to make your workplace safer? Talk to your local union about implementing the changes recommended in the Safe + Sound Week Entertainment Industry Fact Sheet.
